On the 7th of August 2015, the management and other staff members of Hume Cement Sdn. Bhd. had a Panda Sculpture Hand Painting Art Session with the kids of PECH at their Petaling Jaya Home.

The children’s masterpiece was proudly exhibited at the Archidex 2015 at KLCC on the 12th to 15th August 2015 where Hong Leong Industries’ Seven Operating Companies participated. This initiative was also part of Hume Cement’s unconventional approach to cement selling.

As Hume Cement Sdn Bhd has adopted the orphans of PECH, a one-year activity plan has been planned out for the children on a monthly basis. The activities are planned to be carried out at the Petaling Jaya home or an alternative venue depending on the activity and theme.

One such activity took place on the 23rd of October 2015 with an Animal Day theme. The children were divided into 3 teams and each team was given an animal as their team name. They were then required to make animals from plasticine and recyclable products as well as sketch the animals on paper.
